Welcome to the homepage of Statek

Statek is the Czech name of a farmhouse built in a style specific for the area around Broumov, in the north east of the Czech Republic. This area is on a 600 metre high plateau, immediately east of the highest mountain range of the country. 

A Statek is built in an U shape, sometimes with an entry gate. These are very large constructions, with many romantic details. The doors and windows have frames made out of sandstone, the walls are made out of natural rock and are around one metre thick. The ceilings are constructed with arched roofs and pillars. 

Our Statek was constructed in 1844 and is the well preserved left leg of the "U". The Statek is located in the outskirts of a small agricultural village, not yet damaged by modern times.

The Statek has been renovated but care was taken to preserve its original character. It can be used for a comfortable stay for around 6 people. The house has a romantic and rustic character.  

Our Statek is available for rent all year around. Summers are hot and dry, winters usually cold and snow certain. 

A stay in the Statek is (because of the size, tranquility and natural surroundings) specifically recommended for families with young children, nature lovers, rest seekers and dog owners. 

The large back garden is entirely surrounded by a one metre high woorden fence, a comforting thought for parents and dogowners. 

A holiday in the Czech republic is a very attractive for many because of the beauty of the country, the friendly population and the low cost.
